The program will be facilitated by Mr. Salim Azhar who has to his credit around 35 years work experience in leading organizations namely Engro, Toyota and House of Habib. He was with Exxon / Engro for around 27 years during which his career progressed through diverse functions including responsibilities at Management Committee and Board levels. As Head of HR he led several initiatives covering cutting edge upgrades in all areas of HRM. He provided strong HR leadership as Exxon transitioned to Engro and ensured the strong systems from the parent company were further strengthened, kept current and aligned to the best. He then moved as Director – HR, Logistics & Commercial at Indus Motor Company a JV of Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan with the mandate for resetting the HR environment to best support its business strategy and rganizational Development through sound HR systems, processes and procedures. Following this successful intervention, he moved as Group Director – HR and stewarded several diverse companies in the group. Salim is currently Advisor to Chairman – HOH
Salim’s exposure as line manager in Marketing, Manufacturing, HR, and overseas assignments and at Management Committee
/ Board levels, equips him with a sound understanding of the dynamics of human capital on the one hand and Organizational
imperatives together with stakeholder value creation on the other. He combines this background with sound knowledge and hands on HRM work experience to deliver quality HR interventions. He has worked closely with leading consultants and attended several HR workshops including at INSEAD and Conference Board. He has certifications from Cornell in Executive Leadership and Strategic Human Resource Management programs.
